Ileana’s Kollywood sojourn seems to be in doubt, with director Vikram Kumar’s next flick 24 with Vikram shelved for now. Producer Mohan Nataraj, however, has roped in director Bhoopathy Pandian to direct a film with the dates actor Vikram has given him. This film, according to sources, will be an action-packed entertainer in which Vikram plays a cop. Meanwhile, when we recently quizzed Ileana about the now shelved film, this is what she had to say.

I have always been flooded with Tamil film offers after Kedi, but I took up this project because it sounded exciting. It’s a fantasy flick and something I haven’t tried my hand at. It’s an author-backed role which I’m looking forward to doing,” she reasons. So, the big question being asked in Kollywood circles currently is — will she still do Vikram’s next, considering that it now has a different director and script?
