The successful opening of Vedam has not made Allu Arjun to rest on laurel. What it has made him is to work harder. Now, the actor is learning martial arts in Vietnam for his upcoming film Badrinath. Stunt master Peter Haynes is also with him for his assistance.

It is worth mentioning here that Peter Haynes had become very popular among the Telugu audiences with his action choreography in Aparichitudu (Tamil Anniyan) and Sivaji by Shankar. He has worked with almost all the big names of South India. He is credited for having brought a new waves in action choreography by presenting action scenes in a stylish way.
Allu Arjun is the first actor, who introduced six-pack craze with Desamuduru in Telugu film industry. Of late, he was seen only in romantic movies and he was not seen in action flicks. Now the news of Allu learning martial arts has created waves in T-town.
V V Vinayak directional movie Badrinath is said to be a romantic-action film. The stunts of the movie is being made in Hollywood standards. This is Vinayaka’s second movie with Allu Arjun, after super hit movie Bunny.
Tamanna is pairing with Allu Arjun and Bollywood actor Nana Patekar is playing a vital role in the film. MM Keeravani is scoring the music and Ravi Varman is handling the camera and Allu Aravind is producing the film under Geetha Arts.
Komaram Puli coming on May 14
After completing its shooting schedules, Pawan Kalyan's Komaram Puli, directed by S.J. Suryah, has entered into the re-recording phase recently on April 2.According to reports, producer Singanamala Ramesh of Kanaka Ratna Movies is planning to release the movie on May 14.
FICUS recently obtained the Canada theatrical rights of Komaram Puli, which has Pawan Kalyan playing the role of a cop. Nikisha Patel, who is making her debut in Telugu, is the heroine. Oscar winner A.R. Rehman is scoring music.
Also in the cast are Manoj Bajpai, Charan Raj, Nasser, Jyothi Krishna, Saranya, Brahmaji, Ali, V.M.C. Haneefa and Girish Karnad. Binod Pradhan handles the camera.
Komaram Puli postponed to June?
Power Star Pawan Kalyan's S.J. Suryah directed Komaram Puli, which was earlier scheduled to grace the screens by May third week, has been reportedly postponed to June first week. However, the date is not finalised.The music will be released by Sony BMG in the first week of May. Producer Singanamala Ramesh of Kanaka Ratna Movies planning to have a safe gap of three weeks between these two events, it is said.
The shooting is complete except three songs, which will be shot from April 25. The film has Pawan Kalyan playing the role of a cop. Nikisha Patel, who is making her debut in Telugu, is the heroine. Oscar winner A.R. Rahman is scoring music.
Binod Pradhan handles cinematography. Anand Sai is the art director. Sony BMG bought the music rights, while FICUS recently obtained the Canada theatrical rights.
Telangana activists ban Komaram Puli
Power Star Pawan Kalyan's Komaram Puli, which is set for release in May, is facing threats from Telangana activists. Various students’ forums in Telangana region issued statements that they would not allow Komaram Puli to run in theatres in the region.Telangana Joint Action Committee (JAC) Convener Prof. Kodandaram, who objected to affix of Komaram before Puli, said that the JAC would extend full support to the students.
"Komaram Bhim was a legendary tribal leader who fought against the Asaf Jahi dynasty. To hoodwink the people of Telangana, the film title has reference to the legendary leader," he said, adding that Pawan Kalyan is an opportunist.
"During the 2009 elections, Pawan Kalyan toured all over Telangana, drank toddy and danced with tribal people. Now, he is staying away from the people’s problems," he said.
Pawan Kalyan creates flutter at Alipiri
Before the release of his latest film Komaram Puli, actor Pawan Kalyan offered prayers at Alipiri before trekking up the Tirumala Hills on Thursday evening. The visit created a flutter at Alipiri, as the Praja Rajyam’s youth wing leaders gave wide publicity about his visit, saying that he would trek to Tirumala from Alipiri.Pawan Kalyan arrived from Hyderabad at Renigunta airport and directly checked into a hotel near RTC bus station in the afternoon. At 2.30 p.m., news started spreading that the actor would reach Alipiri in a few minutes. Based on this, a number of youths thronged Alipiri. However, he came out of his hotel room around 6.30 p.m. only and declined to entertain the media.
According to reports, about 500 youth were present to see the actor at Alipiri. Disappointing all, he entered the footpath through the security point accompanied by about 20 persons. Some of the public deplored that his bodyguards manhandled them.
On Friday, Pawan Kalyan took part in the Abhishekam seva and worshipped the Lord for the success of his forthcoming Komaram Puli. He told the media that he had been contemplating to visit Tirumala since two years, which was fulfilled now.
Vedam set for Sankranthi release
Promising Tollywood director Krish's second venture Vedam, starring sensational Anushka and stylish actor Allu Arjun together for the first time, is getting ready for release on Sankranthi.
Produced jointly by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni under the banner of Arka Media Works, the film is nearing completion and the last schedule will start in a week.
Buxom beauty Anushka enacts the role of a prostitute for the first time in Vedam, which also has director Krish in a comeo. Allu Arjun appears as a slum-dweller and Manoj Manchu as a rock star. Jnanashekar handles the camera. Music is by M.M. Keeravani and lyrics have been penned by Seetharama Shastry.
Badrinath in temple backdrop
Stylish star Allu Arjun has three films on the floors now: Arya 2 (slated for September release), Vedam and director Guna Sekhar's untitled movie. After completing these films, Allu Arjun will team up with director V.V. Vinayak once again in Badrinath, after their joint venture, the super hit Bunny (2005).Produced by hit maker Allu Aravind under the banner of Geetha Arts, Badrinath is reportedly set in the backdrop of Badrinath temple, situated in the bank of Alaknanda River in the hill town of Badrinath in Uttarakhand.

Telugu Chandramukhi 2 begins
Veteran mass director P. Vasu has begun the shooting of Chandramukhi 2, the Telugu remake of Kannada blockbuster Aptha Rakshaka (2010), which is also planned to be remade in Tamil. The film was launched recently at Rama Naidu Studios in Hyderabad with Tollywood's top-charting filmmaker Puri Jaganath giving the first clap.The Telugu version, which stars Victory Venkatesh in the lead with five heroines (Anushka, Priyamani, Sraddha Das, Sneha and Richa Gangopadhyay), is produced by Bellamkonda Suresh of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Productions.
According to sources, the makers are considering Panchamukhi (A girl with five faces) as its title; however, official confirmation is awaited. Guru Kiran will score music, while Shyam K. Naidu handles camera. The film is set in a horror backdrop.
Vedam audio launch on May 2
The audio of much-anticipated Allu Arjun starrer Vedam, being directed by promising Krish of successful Gamyam fame, will hit the stands on May 2. The film has seven songs composed by Keeravani. Lyrics are penned by Seetharama Shastry. The film is gearing up for release on May 20.
Jointly produced by Devineni and Sobha Yarlagadda under the banner of Arka Media, this multi-starrer has Manoj Manchu and Anushka in the main roles; Manoj Bajpai and Deeksha Seth have crucial roles.

Dharani to direct Ram Charan Teja film?
After the average performances of his two back-to-back films (Pawan Kalyan’s Bangaram and Vijay starrer Kuruvi) South India's mass masala director Dharani is likely to direct Tollywood's hottest hero Ram Charan Teja soon. According to sources, the actor has accepted Dharani’s proposal and the director is currently working on the script. The shooting is expected to begin after Ram Charan Teja completes his ongoing Orange, being directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar under the banner of prestigious Anjana Productions.
Meanwhile, Ram Charan Teja has been confirmed as the hero in noted Tamil director Linguswamy's Telugu remake of his forthcoming Tamil film Paiyya, starring Karthi and Tamannaah in the lead roles. Paiyya is almost complete (except for a song and a few scenes) and is all set for release in January 2010.

Rajamouli with Ram Charan Teja and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles, is being dubbed in Tamil. But we have just learnt from the makers that the Tamil version will hit screens with the title Maveeran!The biggest hit in the history of Telugu cinema, Magadheera recently completed 175 days in three places: Adoni (Ceded), Gopala Patnam (Vizag) and PVR Cinemas (Bangalore).
The film ran for 50 days in 302 centres and 100 days in 225 centres, which is an all India record. Produced under the banner of Geeta Arts, Magadheera was released worldwide on July 31 last year in around 1200 screens in 14 countries.

Supreme Movies releasing Orange in USA
Tollywood's leading Supreme Movies, a sister concern of music business pioneer Supreme Audios, has bagged the US theatrical rights of Ram Charan Teja's third film tentatively titled Orange, being directed by Bhaskar with five heroines including Genelia. It is noteworthy that Supreme Movies opened its innings in the US last year by distributing the record-breaking Magadheera, followed by Arya 2.Meanwhile, the unit of Orange, produced by Nagababu under the banner of Anjana Productions, will soon leave for Australia for a 30 day schedule to shoot crucial sequences including songs. Touted to be a fun-filled romantic entertainer, the film will have Ram Charan Teja playing the role of a chocolate boy. It has music by Harris Jayaraj. Editing is by Marthand K. Venkatesh, action by Peter Hynes and camera by Kiran Reddy.
Orange to employ 250 Victorians as cast
The crew members of Tollywood sensation Ram Charan Reja's third film Orange, directed by Bhaskar with five heroines including Genelia, are currently busy shooting in Australia since the story revolves around a young Indian student settled in Melbourne.While the shooting is progressing at a number of Melbourne locations, including ACDC and Hosier lanes, Southbank, the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art, the West Gate Bridge and Docklands, the crew had a surprising visitor recently.
The visitor was Bronwyn Pike, Member of Parliament for Melbourne and Minister for Education, Skills and Workforce Participation. She spent the whole morning on the sets interacting with the stars.
"Orange is the biggest and longest shoot of an Indian film in Australia and will employ more than 250 Victorians as cast and crew during filming," Pike said. She said the Brumby Labour Government is proud that the wonderful city is playing a leading role in this much-awaited film.
She expects that the film will carry a positive image of Melbourne and that Victoria ‘is the place to be'. Anupam Sharma, a member of the production unit, said the Melbourne community was welcoming and film-friendly. The film will hit the screens by 2010 end.
Ram Charan Teja walks out of Orange?
An unconfirmed report from Hyderabad Film Nagar said that Tollywood's upcoming superstar Ram Charan Teja has decided to walk out of prestigious Anjana Productions' ongoing Bommarillu Bhaskar directed Orange, after the actor and his family felt that its story was too weak to keep up with Ram Charan Teja's image that he had attained through Magadheera. Orange is the young actor's his third movie.It is also heard that Ram Charan Teja has now re-allotted Orange's dates to popular Tamil mass director Dharani's second Telugu film to be produced by Anjana Productions. The actor has reportedly started working on this untitled project. More details and official confirmations are awaited.
Is Magadheera pair back?
Is the super hit Magadheera pair -- Ram Charan Teja and Kajal Agarwal -- going to repeat the magic once again? If the reports are to be believed, the answer is YES.It is said that Mega Supergood Films, that produces a film with Ram Charan Teja as the hero and popular Tamil mass director Dharani (Dhill, Dhool and Ghilli fame) as the director, is likely to rope in Kajal Agarwal as the heroine.
This untitled film is expected to be launched on April 30. Devi Sri Prasad will be scoring music. Notably, this is the second Telugu film by Dharani, whose first was Bangaram (2006). More details are awaited.
PC Sriram is back

Sriram, who earlier worked for great love stories like Geetanjali and Khushi in Telugu, is making come back to Tollywood after a gap of two years with upcoming super hero Ram Charan Tej's fourth love story to be directed by popular Tamil mass director Dharani. PC Sriram's last in Telugu was Teja-directed Keka.This yet to be titled flick would be launched formally on April 30 and regular shoot commences from May first week. Devi Sri Prasad is scoring music. To be produced under the banner of Mega Supergood Films, the film has Kajal as the heroine.
Maerupu launched
Ram Charan Teja's latest film Maerupu, directed by Dharani and produced by N.V. Prasad and Paras Jain under the banner of Mega Supergood Films, was launched on Friday at Rama Naidu Studios, Hyderabad.Dr. D. Rama Naidu switched on the camera, while the Praja Rrajyam chief and hero’s dad Chiranjeevi clapped the mahurat shot on Ram Charan Teja and Kajal (who teams up with Ram Charan once again after Magadheera).
"It is a good commercial script. I felt good after listening to the story and it caters to all cross-sections of audiences. I play a unique character in this movie which will be identified by today’s youth. The story is about how a youngster becomes victorious. There is a rhythm in the story," Ram Charan Tej said.
Producer N.V. Prasad, Dharani and music composer Devi Sri Prasad spoke during the occasion. Dialogues are by Paruchuri Brothers. Art is by Padmashri Thota Tharani.
'Amayakudu' in post-production
It is known that Krishnudu of Vinayakudu series fame is acting in a film, titled Amayakudu. The film's shooting part is reportedly complete, and is understood to be gearing up for a release in the last week of April.Ananya and Poonam Singar are playing the female leads in the movie. Directed by Bharathi Ganesh, it is a love story, with oodles of brother-sister sentiment thrown in. The audio is releasing on April 24.
It is coming with the tagline, 'kani vaade nayakudu.' The producers, at the time of the film's launch, said that towards the end, the same guy becomes an asadhyudu. So, you could say, the film is about a protagonist who is a harmless guy, but becomes a clever one towards the end.
Charan Raj and Rao Ramesh will be seen in important roles in the film. Suman Shetty is playing a lengthy comedian role after a long time.
Ghatikachalam is the dialogue-writer, while the film has music by Manikanth Khadri of Villagelo Vinayakudu fame. Vanamali has written the songs. Choreography is by Jayaram.
Genelia to pair with Ram, again
Seems that Genelia D'Souza will keep her promise of returning to Telugu, this year. The actress has reportedly given a nod for a film to be produced by Sravanthi Ravi Kishore, in which Ram will act as the male lead.The film is not yet official, but story discussions are said to have begun. Surendar Reddy, who has a film on hand with Mahesh Babu in the lead, will direct the film.
Ram has already agreed to act in the film. Genelia too has been heard the storyline, and it is learnt that she has okayed the film.
The project will go on floors only after Ram is done with Rama Rama Krishna Krishna. Thus, he will act with Genny, two years after the release of Ready, which was a hit.
It is to be seen how great Surendar will make the twosome look in the movie.
