Michael Jackson's concert promoters AEG Live are negotiating with a number of Hollywood studios to make a documentary following the star's final days, according to reports.
Bosses at the Los Angeles-based company, who were behind Jackson's 50-date This Is It residency at London's O2 Arena, want to use footage of the late King of Pop leading up to his death to create a feature-length film.
AEG heads are hoping to strike a deal in a bid to get back some of the $30 million they spent setting up the comeback concerts he was rehearsing for when he died of a cardiac arrest last month.
A deal could be reached as soon as the weekend, reports the Wall Street Journal.
